Awsome work. I love the feel and atmosphere of this and the lighting effects are great. I cant quite decide if the horse is too small, but saying that american mustangs are quite small horses. Very very good.

Edit* I have been looking at it now and i think the horse is actually good proportionally. I think it is the armour that made me think it was too small.

This is so cool, love the contrast you gave it and i'd say this being B&W really makes it better. Good Job, all your paitings are just so breath-taking, keep it up, top marks

I think this painting is crying out for some color. Did you draw the horses from memory or did you have some photo reference? 9/9

How the hell did I miss this?

While your b/w's are great, how about maybe just a tri-color pallete?

ok the only thing that seperates the front image from the back is the mere size. overlapping gives depth nice try though the line of sight is off if his sword had overlapped her and that horizign line was right i would have been convinced. good shading but bad lighting!

Excelent mood. The black and white makes it better. It seems that there is a story behind this. Is this based on a book? If so, which one, I'd love to read it.
